It’s hard to believe that only 17 years ago Reztark was a one man studio started in a garage. We’ve seen a lot of changes since then, as we’ve grown into a fully integrated multi-disciplinary studio that continues to support our vision. Embracing our Midwestern roots, our Cincinnati office continues to be the heart of our organization while our offices in the Seattle and the Tampa Bay area allow us to better connect to our clients around the globe.

PROJECT ARCHITECT

We are seeking a Project Architect with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience to work on ground-up low and mid-rise multi-family residential, retail, podium and/or mixed-use projects from planning through construction, being documented in Revit, for projects in the United States and Canada. Candidate will coordinate with consultants and in-house staff to provide solutions and details, create efficient Revit model documentation, review drawing sets for QC, and ensure production of deliverables by agreed upon timelines and budgets while reporting to a Project Manager. Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high degree of technical understanding of the architectural and construction process, being able to complete/oversee the design development and construction document phases as well as being knowledgeable of construction techniques. Candidate must be proficient using Revit in a professional setting to design and document as well as work independently, creating and manipulating the model. Candidate must be flexible and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

 

Responsibilities under a Project Manager

  • Review shop drawings and samples with periodic direction
  • Develop responses to contractor questions, inquiries, RFI’s etc. with periodic direction
  • Prepare punch-lists and field observation reports with periodic supervision
  • Guide, instruct, and educate junior co-workers in architectural detailing, code compliance and documentation process
  • Detail and Redline documents to provide junior co-workers direction

Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor or Master in Architecture
  • 10 years experience, post-graduation, in construction document preparation
  • Strong Technical Skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge and ability to detail exterior and interior wall systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction and construction technology
  • Revit and AutoCAD Proficiency
  • Proficiency in all design and documentation phases: Planning, Concept, SD, DD, CD, CA
  • Working experience with architectural and engineering proposals
  • Skilled management of internal design team staff and project consultants
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA
  • Candidate will work on site in our Cincinnati, Ohio office

ARCHITECTURAL/TECHNICAL DESIGNER

We are seeking an Architectural/Technical Designer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to work on a wide variety of project types and scales. These include but are not limited to ground-up mixed-use projects, low and mid-rise multi-family residential, retail and/or Master planning projects. The ideal candidate should possess a strong set of fundamental architectural skills and techniques to communicate and captivate the project concept and vision.

This individual should be, above all, creative and not afraid to share thoughts, ideas, and opinions on any given design problem regardless of type or scale. This individual should be excited to provide innovative and fresh ideas throughout the design process.

Candidate must be flexible and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. They should be proficient in all design programs (Sketchup, Rhino, Grasshopper, Adobe Creative Suite and Revit), and be able to work seamlessly through each program to deliver presentation quality drawings and images in a timely manner.

 

Responsibilities under a supervisor:

  • Participate in every phase of the research and design process, including site documentation, site analysis and conceptual analysis
  • Create and establish a vision for new projects with an ability to convey (visually and verbally) that vision to project staff
  • Ability to translate their vision into a constructible reality assimilating all components, systems, etc.
  • Participate and/or lead in material research and the coordination of project specifications
  • Represent the firm to clients and the public in a professional manner
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a keen ability to provide multiple solutions to given problem
  • Ability to keep team focused from initial presentation to full delivery of service
