It’s hard to believe that only 17 years ago Reztark was a one man studio started in a garage. We’ve seen a lot of changes since then, as we’ve grown into a fully integrated multi-disciplinary studio that continues to support our vision. Embracing our Midwestern roots, our Cincinnati office continues to be the heart of our organization while our office in the Tampa Bay area allows us to better connect to our clients around the globe.

PROJECT ARCHITECT

We are seeking a Project Architect with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience to work on ground-up low and mid-rise multi-family residential, retail, podium and/or mixed-use projects from planning through construction, being documented in Revit, for projects in the United States and Canada. Candidate will coordinate with consultants and in-house staff to provide solutions and details, create efficient Revit model documentation, review drawing sets for QC, and ensure production of deliverables by agreed upon timelines and budgets while reporting to a Project Manager. Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high degree of technical understanding of the architectural and construction process, being able to complete/oversee the design development and construction document phases as well as being knowledgeable of construction techniques. Candidate must be proficient using Revit in a professional setting to design and document as well as work independently, creating and manipulating the model. Candidate must be flexible and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

 

Responsibilities under a Project Manager

  • Review shop drawings and samples with periodic direction
  • Develop responses to contractor questions, inquiries, RFI’s etc. with periodic direction
  • Prepare punch-lists and field observation reports with periodic supervision
  • Guide, instruct, and educate junior co-workers in architectural detailing, code compliance and documentation process
  • Detail and Redline documents to provide junior co-workers direction

SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

We are seeking an innovative and well-rounded Senior Interior Designer to help contribute to our growing team at Reztark Design Studio in Cincinnati, OH! Our interior designers are responsible for contributing to the entire design process from initial concept through design development, construction documentation and administration. We work across market sectors including mixed-use, retail, multi-family, restaurant, workplace and more. We embrace projects across all scales from ground up architecture and large indoor/outdoor environments to small boutique retail and restaurant experiences. Although each project is unique, at Reztark we strive to carry a common thread through our work –creating a strong sense of place through design that connects people together and fosters a sense of community.

 

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of professional interior design experience and be highly skilled in creating strategic concepts rooted in meaning, collaborating with a cross functional team, and strong presentation skills, while also possessing a foundation of developing a cohesive set of technical drawings to bring the idea to life.

 

As a small team, we seek candidates who are nimble multi-taskers and thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing a variety of different projects at once. Time management, prioritization of project deliverables, a proactive nature, and good communication are essential to the role in order to deliver quality work with excellent customer service.

 

Millwork and custom furniture or fixture design, material and furniture selection, and specifications are an integral part of this role, so experience is required. We embrace technology to increase efficiency and creativity. The candidate must be proficient in the latest industry standard software programs and open to training if requested.

 

Responsibilities under a supervisor

  • Take ownership of multiple projects, while supporting senior staff
  • Help create and establish an interior design vision for new projects
  • Translate the vision into a design concept through mood boards, sketches, floor plans, 3D models, elevations, renderings, etc.
  • Confidently articulate the vision to colleagues and clients in design meetings, charettes and client presentations as directed
  • Take feedback and guidance from design directors, architects and graphic designers and integrate their point of view into the design, adapting the concept based on their input as the entire team is responsible for delivering excellent work.
  • Select materials and furniture that fit the design concept and meet the functional requirements and needs of the space.
  • Create high quality 3D renderings utilizing the latest software technologies
  • Document the design in the DD and CD phase in Revit by generating floor plans, elevations, millwork drawings and wall sections with guidance from design directors and the architecture team.
  • Create material schedules and furniture specifications
  • Design and document with an awareness of building codes and ADA requirements.
  • Take ownership of the documents and details throughout the construction process, ensuring the space is built according to the design vision.
  • Review shop drawings and construction documents for quality control, with guidance from senior staff
  • Collaborate with the architecture team to respond to contractor questions, inquiries, RFI’s etc. during the construction process.
  • Coordinate with reps to set up product updates and lunch and learns & help to keep the material library organized and updated
  • Attend site surveys, site visit walk-throughs and punch lists

ARCHITECTURAL/TECHNICAL DESIGNER

We are seeking an Architectural/Technical Designer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to work on a wide variety of project types and scales. These include but are not limited to ground-up mixed-use projects, low and mid-rise multi-family residential, retail and/or Master planning projects. The ideal candidate should possess a strong set of fundamental architectural skills and techniques to communicate and captivate the project concept and vision.

This individual should be, above all, creative and not afraid to share thoughts, ideas, and opinions on any given design problem regardless of type or scale. This individual should be excited to provide innovative and fresh ideas throughout the design process.

Candidate must be flexible and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. They should be proficient in all design programs (Sketchup, Rhino, Grasshopper, Adobe Creative Suite and Revit), and be able to work seamlessly through each program to deliver presentation quality drawings and images in a timely manner.

 

Responsibilities under a supervisor:

  • Participate in every phase of the research and design process, including site documentation, site analysis and conceptual analysis
  • Create and establish a vision for new projects with an ability to convey (visually and verbally) that vision to project staff
  • Ability to translate their vision into a constructible reality assimilating all components, systems, etc.
  • Participate and/or lead in material research and the coordination of project specifications
  • Represent the firm to clients and the public in a professional manner
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a keen ability to provide multiple solutions to given problem
