Nadja Stowasser

Architecture Co-op

Nadja is a Master of Architecture student at the University of Cincinnati. Her interest stems from finding the whole among the pieces — the greater the variety of architecture, the more interesting it is as a whole. Nadja views the design process like a complex puzzle that can be resolved in new ways each time and enjoys the challenge of finding the right approach to each solution.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

Architect (seriously) the Sims was a bad influence I dare say.

If you weren’t in your current field, what job would you have instead?

I probably would have become a school teacher – but not teaching math.

Do you have pets? What are they and what are their names?

Yes, a menagerie. 5 cats (Momo, Matilda, Lilith, Darwin, and Marvin), 1 dog (Tucker), 2 turtles (Charlemagne, Shark).

What are your hobbies or special skills?

I do embroidery and puzzles – the current record is 3,000 pieces but I got a 5,000-piece puzzle for Christmas that I have yet to figure out where to set up in the house since it’s so big.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Why?

The moon. It would be interesting to see the Earth. Or if it had to be on Earth then probably Antarctica just to see what all the fuss is about, and the penguins.

Mountains or Water?

Mountains, but only because I prefer hiking over swimming.

Coffee or Tea?

Coffee, but I really shouldn’t drink as much as I do.

West Coast or East Coast?

Got to say I prefer the middle to the coasts.
