Angela Sansalone

Project Director

As Project Director, Angela brings 25 years of experience from a variety of projects and architectural interests. She finds herself of recent years becoming an expert in the complex design of distilleries, during and after work hours. Priding herself in seeing the “big picture,” Angela takes a creative design approach, working collaboratively with the client and contractor to ensure the design is built with a comprehensive vision. She is just as passionate about sketching the initial ideas as she is being in the field and swinging a hammer if that is what she needs to do.

Where do you draw inspiration?

Inspiration comes to me through movement.  I cannot be static to allow my mind to flow creatively.  I love to walk, exercise, work in the yard undertaking work that pushes me to my limits (constructing dry-stack walls, planting trees, building fences, moving rocks),  building and doing other home projects, listening to music.  Do not chain me to a desk.

What parts of your profession are you most passionate about?

Design (with an unlimited budget 🙂 )

What is your best childhood memory?

Too numerous to pick – I am one of eight children and we were adventurous. We were not hemmed in by any limits, spending most of my childhood outside, learning a lot of independence, experiencing many broken bones and stitches and having a blast along the way.

Is there anything unusual or interesting that you want to share about yourself?

I want to be an American Ninja Warrior.

West Coast or East Coast?

East Coast – there is nothing like the peace you will find along the shores of Cape Cod.

Do you have pets? What are they and what are their names?

A new kitten, soon.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

An architect, really.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Why?

Everywhere – travel is my passion. I just need more vacation time!
