Who is your favorite designer/architect? Why?

Adolf Loos – for the way he emphasized excellence in design for everyday spaces and elevated ordinary people.

What parts of your profession are you most passionate about?

I’m excited that there is more emphasis on sustainability in the architecture profession these days – from using recycled, or less toxic materials, to bringing down energy consumption.  MEP Engineers, who know how to best configure different systems and contractors who have been trained in sustainable building practices – I believe are some of our greatest heroes!

What is your favorite thing about working at Reztark?

A collaborative spirit, super talented co-workers who happen to be fun as well.

Cats or Dogs?

Hard to decide – both!

Have you traveled out of the US or lived overseas? Where?

Yes – I lived in Zagreb, Croatia for 15 years.

Where do you draw inspiration?

I love to learn about all kinds of history, but especially the American Revolution. It’s incredible to think how the founding fathers began a courageous experiment in democracy, in the context of a world dominated by monarchies and won against all odds.

Is there anything unusual or interesting that you want to share about yourself?

My family brought their winemaking tradition from Croatia to Ohio, where we operate a small winery in Old Colerain Township. On some weekends, you might  find me waitressing!
